WHY?
I was looking at my imaginary friends at http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/. I was enjoying how clean the design was, and how straightforward the layout is. I found myself wishing that I worked on that site instead of this one. Not wanting to write HTML and PHP anymore. Just open a web browser, and start writing.
I had a head-slap-moment. I have spent more time coding this site than writing. I want to be a writer. And face it, this site is a blog. 10 years ago, it was a custom affair which required all custom code. Now everyone is a blogger, and there are dozens of packaged solutions. Now I can stand on the shoulders of giants, and stop wasting my time coding.
This site uses WordPress software, and easily allows me to create accounts for multiple contributing writers. No more bullshit. Everything is organized better, and easier to find. You can check the SHOWS schedule right on the home page, and more information can be included.
This move is such an obvious win-win for everyone. Don’t let the new layout freak you out.

No venues are listed under Resources/Venues. I like the new look, it looks a lot cleaner, but there was something about the old site… something about the clutter,who know. :)
