Band Info – The Montell Jordans are a Rock and Roll band based out of San Diego, California. They were described by City Beat Magazine as “an Amalgamation of pop punk sheen and heavy-metal guitar riffs”. The band formed when friends/guitarists Tim Kilcourse and Ryan Baghai shared a mission is to bring back the culture of Rock and Roll through music and partying worthy of making girls pop their tops off at concerts again…

Inspired by each other’s musical differences and styles of playing, songs began to form effortlessly. With Baghai’s metal leads complimenting Kilcourse’s melody-driven song writing, the semi-band was ready to expand.  The duo linked with drummer Matt Price and bassist Joe Burcin who’s impressive musical backgrounds completed the lineup.

The band creates a distinct mixture of genres, pulling the best attributes of each: Melodic hooks of pop, solos of 80’s metal, energy of punk, and driving guitar riffs of rock and roll.

The Montell Jordans released a full length album entitled “Sweater Puppies” and a music video for their single “I’m Not Your Father but You Can Call Me Daddy”.  They have been featured on podcasts, iHeartRadio, Rock105.3 and 91X radio stations, and were invited guests on San Diego’s Fox 5 morning television show.

Performing and touring extensively, the band has attracted an ever growing fan base by performing with national acts such as Steel Panther, Plain White Tee’s,  Unwritten Law, and Sprung Monkey. The band was awarded as finalists, selected out of hundreds of bands, to play Rockstar Energy’s Taste of Chaos festival.

Recently, The Montell Jordans released a music video for their party anthem single called “Butts to Nuts” which will be featured on their sophomore album, anticipated to drop in 2018.
